| Day 1 | Around 11:00 AM pickup from your hotel and drive towards Cairo (approx. 5 hours with a rest break). Upon arrival, enjoy mint tea or Egyptian coffee at Khan El Khalili Bazaar, founded in the 14th century and one of the most important cultural and commercial centers in Cairo. Walk through Khan El Khalili and along El Moez Street in Old Cairo, exploring the beauty of Islamic architecture and the historic Islamic Quarter before ending the first day of your 2-Day Trip to Cairo. |
| Day 2 | After breakfast, visit the Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple, where your private English-speaking Egyptologist will explain the fascinating history of these ancient wonders. Enjoy lunch with traditional Egyptian cuisine, then continue to the Egyptian Museum, home to more than 100,000 artifacts from all periods of Egyptian history. Around 15:00 begin the return journey, arriving back at your hotel around 20:00. |
Description for 2 Day Trip to Cairo
First day
Around 11:00 we will pick you up from your hotel and drive for about 3 hours until we have a break at a rest area on our way to Cairo. After this break, we drive for about 2 hours until we arrive in Cairo.
Visit Khan El Khalili Bazar
Walk along El Moez Street in Old Cairo
Arrived in Cairo, we invite you to mint tea or Egyptian coffee on Market Street (Khan Khalili). Khan El Khalili Bazar, founded in the 14th century, has always been an important place for cultural and commercial activities.
After refreshment, enjoy an unforgettable walk through Khan El Khalili Bazar as well as the Islamic Quarter. Let yourself be enchanted by the beauty of Islamic architecture and that’s where you end first day of your 2 day Trip to Cairo.
Second day
- Pyramids, Sphinx and Valley Temple
After breakfast we go to the Pyramids of Giza. Here you can admire the oldest and best preserved buildings of mankind in Egypt. You will learn all about the history of the Pyramids and the Great Sphinx from your private English-speaking Egyptologist.
- Lunch
After visiting the Pyramid Plateau and the Great Sphinx, we will have lunch (Egyptian cuisine).
- Egyptian Museum
After lunch we go to the Egyptian Museum. It houses an extensive collection of over 100,000 items from all periods of Egyptian history.
After visiting the museum, we start our journey home around 15:00 where you will return to your hotel around 20:00.
