⏰ 11:00 AM – Pick-up from your hotel. Departure by private air-conditioned vehicle. Drive to Cairo – approx. 5 hours with a rest stop halfway. Water and soft drinks on board.
🍵 Arrival in Cairo in the early evening. Your English-speaking Egyptologist welcomes you with mint tea or Egyptian coffee at the entrance to Khan el-Khalili.
🛍️ Khan el-Khalili Bazaar: Founded in the 14th century – one of the most important cultural and commercial hubs in Cairo. Narrow alleys filled with copper crafts, spices, gold, handmade jewellery and the scents of freshly ground coffee and incense.
🏛️ El Moez Street: One of the most beautiful medieval streets in the Islamic world – an open-air museum of Islamic architecture spanning ten centuries, from Fatimid to Mamluk to Ottoman.
