🗓️ Day 1 – Arrival in Cairo | Pyramids of Giza | Sphinx | Grand Egyptian Museum

🤝 Arrival in Cairo – met by your English-speaking Egyptologist with a name board and welcome drinks. Transfer to your hotel in a private air-conditioned vehicle.

🔺 Pyramids of Giza: The three great pyramids of Cheops, Chephren & Mykerinos – the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World. The Great Pyramid of Khufu stands 137.2 metres tall and contains an estimated 2.3 million stone blocks. Panoramic viewpoint, Great Sphinx and Valley Temple of Khafre included.

🏛️ Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM): One of the largest museums in the world with over 100,000 artefacts – including the complete Tutankhamun collection of more than 5,000 objects discovered in 1922 after 3,500 years.

🗓️ Day 2 – Citadel of Saladin | Alabaster Mosque | Coptic Cairo | Khan el-Khalili | Flight to Luxor

Coptic Quarter & Hanging Church (Al-Muallaqah): Built in 690 AD above the gatehouse of the Roman Fortress of Babylon. Egypt’s first church in the basilica style, home to 110 icons – the oldest from the 8th century. The ancient Christian quarter where the Holy Family sheltered during their flight to Egypt.

🛍️ Khan el-Khalili Bazaar & El Moez Street: Cairo’s legendary oriental market since the 14th century – copper crafts, spices, gold and medieval Islamic architecture.

🏛️ Karnak Temple: The largest temple complex ever built by human hands – covering 247 hectares and representing the combined achievement of generations of pharaohs. Its legendary hypostyle hall of 134 columns is one of the most breathtaking spaces in ancient architecture. Your Egyptologist will spend as much time here as you need.

🌙 Luxor Temple: Built by Amenhotep III around 1400 BC and expanded by Ramses II – dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship. Many pharaohs are believed to have been crowned here. Its avenue of sphinxes connects it to Karnak 3 km to the north.

🗓️ Day 4 – Valley of the Kings | Hatshepsut Temple | Colossi of Memnon | Free Nile Cruise | Return Flight

Can I take photos in the Valley of the Kings? +
Yes. Mobile phone photography without flash is now allowed free of charge inside the royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings.
Is there a Sound & Light Show option at Karnak? +
Yes. On the evening of Day 2 after arriving in Luxor, you can optionally attend the Sound & Light Show at Karnak Temple – an impressive historical show about the ancient city of Thebes. This is not included in the base price and can be added for an extra charge.
