1Early morning pick-up from your hotel at around 7:00 am in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle, followed by a scenic drive of approximately 65 km to Dendera.
2Explore the Temple of Dendera, dedicated to the goddess Hathor, goddess of love and motherhood. Visit the holy lake, sanatorium, Mamisi, and the only surviving image of Queen Cleopatra. Admire the astronomical ceiling scenes and mysterious crypt reliefs guided by your Egyptologist.
3Depart Dendera and drive about one hour (approx. 100 km) to Abydos. Enjoy lunch upon arrival before the cultural program begins.
4Visit Abydos, one of the most important religious cities of ancient Egypt, dedicated to the god Osiris. Learn about the myth of Horus and Set, and the eternal struggle between good and evil.
5Explore the Temple of Abydos and admire its exceptionally well-preserved reliefs, hieroglyphs, floral decorations, the famous Abydos King List, and scenes depicting Pharaoh Ramses II hunting with the crown prince.
6Return journey to Hurghada after an informative and culturally rich day, arriving in the evening.

Your Dendera Abydos tour from Luxor starts early in the morning with hotel pickup at around 7:00 am, heading north through the Nile Valley toward some of Egypt’s most sacred ancient sites.

The first stop is Dendera Temple, a magnificent sanctuary dedicated to Hathor, the goddess of love, music, and motherhood. This remarkably well-preserved temple, over 2,000 years old, reveals unique features such as the holy lake, healing sanatorium, Mamisi (birth house), underground crypts, and the famous astronomical ceiling. You will also see the rare surviving relief of Cleopatra, explained in detail by your Egyptologist guide.

Afterward, the journey continues for about 100 km to Abydos Temple, where lunch is served before beginning the cultural exploration. Abydos was one of the most important religious centers of ancient Egypt and the primary cult city of Osiris, god of the afterlife.

Inside the temple, admire exceptionally clear hieroglyphs, floral decorations, and deeply carved reliefs that have survived for millennia. Highlights include the famous Abydos King List and impressive scenes of Ramses II depicted with the crown prince during royal hunting rituals.

After a day rich in history and mythology, you return comfortably to Luxor in the evening.
