Get ready for the grand opening.
This truly marks a new chapter for Egyptian tourism.
One of the most outstanding future projects for Egypt’s tourism sector is the Pyramids Destination Corridor—a comprehensive tourism development corridor designed to connect the country’s most famous archaeological sites.
The goal of this project is to transform the Pyramids of Giza, the Step Pyramid of Saqqara, and the Pyramids of Dahshur into an integrated visitor route, positioning it as one of the most modern and significant tourist destinations in the Middle East.
At the heart of the initiative is the new pedestrian and visitor pathway that directly links the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) with the Giza Plateau. This approximately 1.3 km-long, fully accessible corridor offers a comfortable, safe, and captivating connection between the museum and one of the world’s most iconic ancient sites. The route is designed for both pedestrians and eco-friendly electric vehicles, significantly enhancing the overall visitor experience.
The project is part of a broader tourism strategy aimed at strengthening Egypt’s appeal as a global cultural and travel destination. By integrating infrastructure, hotels, modern access points, and cultural offerings, the region is set to become a leading international tourism hub. In the long term, this initiative will not only improve the visitor experience but also increase economic impact and further solidify Egypt’s position in global tourism.
