Third day of Edfu Temple, Kom Ombo Temple, and overnight on the ship

After your tasty breakfast on board, travel with your Egyptologist.

Visit Edfu Temple and Kom Ombo Temple with your guide.

  • Sail to Kom Ombo, have breakfast on board, and visit the shared temple of the two gods Sobek and Haeroris in Kom Ombo.
  • Then sail to Edfu, enjoy lunch on board, and have afternoon tea while sailing. Dinner and overnight on board.

Edfu Temple
An Upper Egyptian site dominated by a large, well-preserved temple dedicated to the falcon god Horus. The construction of the Ptolemaic Horus Temple, built on the site of a much earlier temple, dates from the reign of Ptolemy III (246 BC). The inscriptions on the walls depict the myth of the battle between Horus and Seth (probably performed annually as a religious drama).

Kom Ombo Temple
This temple and its associated settlement lie 40 km north of Aswan. The temple was dedicated to the deities Sobek and Horus and dates mainly from the Ptolemaic and Roman periods (332 BC–395 AD).

Fourth day of Philae Temple, High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk, Nubian Village & overnight on the ship

Breakfast on board.
After breakfast, enjoy Aswan sightseeing with your guide:

Philae Temple
Philae Temple, a magnificent ancient structure on Philae Island in the Egyptian Nile, is a testament to the enduring greatness of Egypt’s pharaonic civilization. For centuries, this sacred site has captivated visitors with its intricate architecture, rich mythology, and picturesque surroundings.

High Dam
The Aswan High Dam is a rock-fill dam located at the northern border between Egypt and Sudan. Fed by the Nile, the reservoir forms Lake Nasser. Construction began in 1960 and was completed in 1968. It was officially inaugurated in 1971.

Unfinished Obelisk
Aswan was the source of the finest granite in ancient Egypt, used for statues and temple decorations. The large unfinished obelisk in the northern quarries has provided valuable insight into how these monuments were created. Three sides of the nearly 42-meter-long shaft were completed except for the inscriptions. At 1,168 tons, the finished obelisk would have been the heaviest stone piece ever made by the Egyptians.

Nubian Village
Aswan is a city of charm and beauty thanks to the Nile and the friendliness of its people. Anyone fortunate enough to visit this amazing city should not miss the opportunity to visit a Nubian village, interact with locals, and enjoy the Nile views. You can learn about Nubian culture, traditions, food, clothing, and lifestyle. The best way to reach the Nubian village from Aswan is by motorboat from the small port, heading to Soheil Island, where the village lies on the west bank of the Nile. A motorboat or felucca ride itself is very relaxing and lets you enjoy the cool Nile breeze. Alternatively, you can drive or hire a taxi.

Fifth day - Visit Abu Simbel Temple & overnight on the ship

arly in the morning, around 3:00 a.m., travel with your Egyptologist in a private air-conditioned vehicle to one of Egypt’s most important tourist attractions – Abu Simbel Temple (about 3 hours each way).

Abu Simbel Temples
The Abu Simbel temples were built during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II (1279–1213 BC), one of Egypt’s most powerful and longest-ruling pharaohs. The complex consists of two main temples: the Great Temple of Ramses II and the smaller Hathor Temple, dedicated to Ramses’ beloved wife, Queen Nefertari.
These temples were not only architectural masterpieces but also served political and religious purposes, showcasing Ramses II’s power and divine connection while protecting Egypt’s southern border.

Sixth day: Free day – enjoy the beautiful scenery

Relaxation and leisure on board.

Seventh day: Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Colossi of Memnon & overnight on the ship

Breakfast on board, then visit the west bank of the Nile:

Valley of the Kings
Once called the Great Place of Truth, this valley is now known as the Valley of the Kings – a majestic domain of pharaohs who lay in massive stone sarcophagi awaiting immortality.

Colossi of Memnon
Massive twin statues, known as the Colossi of Memnon, rise about 18 meters from the plain. They are the remains of what was once the largest complex on the west bank, built by Amenhotep III.

Hatshepsut Temple
The Hatshepsut Temple rises in terraces from the desert plain, blending seamlessly into the limestone cliffs of the Theban mountain as if nature itself built this extraordinary monument.
