Description for 14-Day Egypt Round Trip

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo – Transfer & Overnight

Your English-speaking tour guide will meet you at Cairo International Airport (before the exit), holding a sign with your name.
You will be transferred in a private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel.
Enjoy welcome drinks like cola and water in the car.
Your guide will assist with check-in and review the detailed itinerary of your 14-day tour, including pick-up times for each excursion.
Then enjoy free time and overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 2: Giza Pyramids – Sphinx – Saqqara – Overnight in Cairo

After breakfast, your personal Egyptologist will take you to visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos, the Sphinx, and the Valley Temple.
Then enjoy lunch at a good restaurant.
Continue to Saqqara to explore the Step Pyramid of Djoser and its surrounding complex.
After the tour, return to the hotel for overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 3: Day Trip to Alexandria – Overnight in Cairo

Early morning pick-up and a 3-hour drive to Alexandria.
Visit:

  • Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa
  • Qaitbay Citadel (built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria)
  • Pompey’s Pillar (massive Roman monolithic column)
    Lunch included.
    Return to Cairo in the evening with your guide.
    Overnight in Cairo.

Day 4: Egyptian Museum – Old Cairo – Khan El Khalili – El Moez Street

After breakfast, visit the Egyptian Museum at Tahrir Square, home to over 150,000 ancient artifacts.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
Then visit Islamic Cairo, explore the historic El Moez Street, and shop in the famous Khan El Khalili Bazaar.

Day 5: Fayoum Oasis – Wadi El Hitan – El Rayyan Waterfalls – Return to Cairo

Early morning departure to Fayoum (approx. 1 hour).

Day 6: Memphis – National Museum of Egyptian Civilization

Day 7: Citadel – Alabaster Mosque – Coptic Quarter – Hanging Church – Flight to Luxor

Start the day visiting:

    Transfer to Cairo Airport, then flight to Luxor.

Day 8: Karnak Temple – Luxor Temple – Overnight on Nile Cruise

After breakfast onboard, visit the Karnak Temple complex, one of Egypt’s most significant religious sites.
Then explore the Luxor Temple, dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship.
Return to the ship for lunch and overnight.

Day 9: Edfu Temple – Kom Ombo Temple – Overnight on Nile Cruise

Sail to Edfu and visit the Temple of Horus, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt.
Continue to Kom Ombo, visit the double temple dedicated to Sobek and Horus.

Early morning drive (3 hours) in a private A/C vehicle to visit the Abu Simbel Temples, built by Ramses II and dedicated to him and his queen Nefertari.
Return to the cruise in Aswan for lunch and overnight.

Day 12: Leisure Day – Enjoy the Scenic Nile

Enjoy a day at leisure onboard your Nile cruise.

Day 13: Valley of the Kings – Hatshepsut Temple – Colossi of Memnon – Overnight on Nile Cruise
