Description for 14 Day Egypt Tour with Nile Cruise
First day
Upon arrival in Cairo/Egypt, you will be met by your guide who will bring you to your hotel in the suburbs of Cairo.
Once you are there, you can check in at your leisure and look forward to dinner. Now begins your journey through Egypt!
Second day
Our English-speaking Egyptologist will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning. You will travel to the Pyramids of Giza in an air-conditioned minibus with a private driver who, like our guide, will accompany you throughout your journey through Egypt to and from.
These three great pyramids are the tombs of Cheops, Menkaur and Khafre. They are considered one of the seven wonders of the world and, like the Sphinx 500 meters away, still raise many questions that scientists around the world are trying to answer. Then proceed to the Step Pyramid of Saqqara.
Then you will be transferred back to your hotel where you can enjoy the impressions of the first day of our trip to Egypt.
Third day
After breakfast, you will continue your tour of Egypt on our private bus.
Today, Islamic Cairo and the Amr Ibn el-As Mosque located there, as well as the Coptic Quarter and the Church of St. Mary, also called the Hanging Church, are on the program. The most beautiful church in Egypt is named after its location above the southwestern Roman gate towers.
Unfortunately, apart from AD 645 Islamic Cairo is not known. Little remains of the Amr ibn el-As mosque, built in the oldest and simplest style. However, this mosque is worth a visit.
Our guide will explain to you that Cairo is also a city of three major world religions: Jewish, Coptic and Islamic. All religions peacefully coexist side by side.
You will then return to your hotel where you can relax and look forward to the next day.
Fourth day
On this day you will visit the Egyptian Museum and the famous Khan El-Khalili Bazaar.
The Egyptian Museum has 120,000 exhibits. Among other things, the treasury of the tomb of Tutankhamun, which tells about the life of the young pharaoh. Our guide will be happy to introduce you to the past of Egypt and answer all your questions.
The Khan El Khalili Bazaar is a must when visiting Cairo. Here you will find handicrafts next to the butchers, jewelers next to the spice stalls. Let yourself be carried away by the unique flair and the thousand scents of Arabia.
In the evening, after being transferred to your hotel and checked out, you will be picked up for your flight to Luxor. Arrive in Luxor the same evening and be transferred to a 5 star cruise ship on the Nile River.
From here, the next day, our 7-day journey along the Nile begins.
Fifth day
On this day on our Nile cruise you will visit Karnak and Luxor temples.
The temple city of Karnak, once the religious center of the ancient pharaohs, contains many shrines, obelisks and phyllons adjacent to the Karnak temple. This city is a unique open-air museum, and our guide will tell you a lot about the ancient culture and share with you the great past. The Luxor temple is also an imposing building in former Thebes.
Return to 5-star cruise ship for overnight stay.
Sixth day
Today it belongs to the Valley of the Kings, the Colossi of Memnon and the Temple of Hatshepsut.
The Valley of the Kings is the final resting place of numerous kings. These tombs are decorated with unique wall paintings and reliefs. You will also see the temple of Hatshepsut built into the mighty rocks, and the two 18-meter colossi of Memnon that guarded the ruined temple of Amenhotep III.
Back on the cruise ship, continue your journey through Egypt to Edfu where you will stay overnight.
Seventh day
After breakfast, our guide will take you to the Temple of Horus, which is impressive with many reliefs, and you will pass through the hall of pillars to the Holy of Holies.
Continue to the twin temples of Kom Ombo, Sobek and Horus, overlooking the Nile.
The journey continues south to Aswan on the Nile.
Overnight on the ship in Aswan.
Eighth day
Time flies like in the blink of an eye. We are already in Aswan, the most beautiful city on the Nile, and here we are conducting an extensive tour of the city.

In the evening, you return to your cruise ship and spend the night there.
