🗓️ Day 1 – Arrival in Cairo

🤝 Your English-speaking Egyptologist meets you at Cairo International Airport at the exit, holding a sign with your name. Welcome drinks (water and cola) in the private air-conditioned vehicle.

🏨 Private transfer to your 5-star hotel in Cairo. Your guide helps with check-in and reviews the full 11 day Egypt round trip itinerary with you – confirming all pick-up times and arrangements.

🗓️ Day 2 – Pyramids of Giza | Great Sphinx | Saqqara

🍳 Breakfast at the hotel. Pick-up by your Egyptologist.

🔺 Pyramids of Giza: The three great pyramids of Cheops, Chephren & Mykerinos – the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World. The Great Pyramid of Khufu stands 137.2 metres tall and contains an estimated 2.3 million stone blocks.

🦁 Great Sphinx & Valley Temple of Khafre: The legendary guardian with a lion's body and the face of Pharaoh Chephren – standing watch on the Giza Plateau since around 2500 BC.

🛍️ Khan el-Khalili Bazaar: Cairo's legendary oriental market since the 14th century – copper crafts, spices, gold and the atmosphere of medieval Islamic Cairo.

🏛️ El Moez Street: One of the most beautiful medieval streets in the Islamic world – an open-air museum of Islamic architecture spanning ten centuries.

🗓️ Day 4 – Citadel | Coptic Cairo | Flight to Luxor | Nile Cruise Embarkation

🏛️ Karnak Temple: The largest temple complex ever built by human hands – covering 247 hectares and spanning more than 2,000 years of construction. Its legendary hypostyle hall of 134 columns, the tallest rising to 24 metres, is one of the most breathtaking architectural spaces in the ancient world.

🌙 Luxor Temple: Built by Amenhotep III and expanded by Ramses II – dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship. Many pharaohs are believed to have been crowned here.

🗓️ Day 6 – Kom Ombo Temple | Edfu Temple | Overnight on Board

🐊 Kom Ombo Temple: The unique double temple dedicated to both Sobek (the crocodile god) and Horus the Elder – perfectly symmetrical, built during the Ptolemaic and Roman periods.

🦅 Edfu Temple (Temple of Horus): The best-preserved ancient temple in Egypt, built between 237 BC and 57 BC. Its towering entrance pylons stand 36 metres tall.

🗓️ Day 7 – Aswan High Dam | Philae Temple | Unfinished Obelisk

🏗️ Aswan High Dam: One of the greatest engineering achievements of the 20th century – created Lake Nasser, one of the world's largest artificial lakes at 550 km long.

🏛️ Philae Temple (Temple of Isis): The island temple of Isis – relocated stone by stone in a UNESCO rescue operation. One of Egypt's most photogenic sites.

🪨 Unfinished Obelisk: Still lying in the granite quarry – 42 metres tall and weighing 1,168 tons, abandoned 3,500 years ago when a crack appeared.

🗓️ Day 8 – Abu Simbel Temples

~03:00 AM – Early morning departure by private vehicle to Abu Simbel (approx. 3 hours – 280 km south of Aswan).

🏛️ Temple of Ramses II: Carved around 1264 BC – four colossal statues of 20 metres. Twice a year sunlight penetrates 60 metres into the inner sanctuary.

🏛️ Temple of Queen Nefertari: One of only two temples built by a pharaoh to honour his wife.

💡 Both temples were relocated 65 metres higher in 1964–1968 to save them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser – one of the greatest UNESCO operations in history.
