5 hour Quad Bike Trip from Hurghada. Private trip.
This was pretty average if I'm being totally honest. Booked it as a family trip (children aged 10 & 12). We were already aware the children would not be able to drive their own quads due to their age.
Our guide was called Hani.
Contacted Memnon a few days before the trip to inquire if there was anything we specifically needed to take/wear for this trip. We were advised that we only needed desert scarves but if we didn't have them they could be purchased at the Scorpion Safaris base when we arrived (I had already purchased these in the UK beforehand).
We were collected from our hotel promptly and traveled into Hurghada to collect Hani before heading to Scorpion Safari for the quad. Take extra water with you although water is supplied on the transport vehicle.
Once we arrived we were told the our 2 children would not be on the quads with us but on the back of the guides (we had 2 guides - Hani and another for the quad biking bit). Helmets are included. You have to fill in a waiver, which has a list of safety instructions - this would have been useful to have been sent in advance as it explains what you should wear. I don't not understand why Memnon didn't send this when I contacted them prior to trip.
You set off for approx 30-40 mins, with a short stop (5 mins) for photos and drink before arriving at the Bedouin village. As my children were sat behind the driver the heat from the quads engine blast out the right side causing burns on their lower leg. I would strongly advise you wear trousers for this experience and not shorts. You need glasses (sunglasses) and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
You arrive at the Bedouin village, this felt very staged and not a true reflection of how these people actually live. It is very tip orientated, so have some small note available (USD/EGP/Euros - all accepted). You are first offered a small cup of Chi (tip the server). This is very hot and served in glass cups so young kids need to be careful. From here you are taken to see Bedouin women making flat bread (leave a tip) and then you can have some to try. You then go for the camel ride - the bit my children were most excited about - however this bit was the most disappointing. You are on the camel for approx 5 mins in total. The camel ride is about 30 meters in a a paddock and then back again. The men leading the camels will take photos on your phone for you (need a tip). You are then taken to the 'pharmacy' where you can purchase items made by the Bedouin people - herbal remedies, tea, jewellery etc. There is also a small shop serving canned drinks and water - very expensive!
Back on the quads and go back the way you came. We explained about the childrens' legs and they hooked them around the drivers waist to avoid the hot air from the engine causing any further burns.
Once back the base (and you've tipped the second quad guide) you then sit for your meal, this is a buffet style (they do not like it if you ask for seconds!) You can purchase dessert from the shop along with extra drinks if wanted. There are a few souvenir shops who come to your table to offer you their goods, they are friendly enough and you don't feel obliged to buy anything.
Then you are entertained with dancing before the trip comes to an end and you are back on the transport heading to your hotel (obviously tipping Hani and the driver!)
It was an average trip but I think there are some really other good trips available that I would suggest you look at first.

Yesterday we went on a day tour in Luxor. It was just great and beautiful. Our guide Nasch is simply great. As an experienced Egyptologist, he was able to answer my questions very well. He showed us places away from the crowds of tourists that are not shown anywhere on any TV shows. Bay near Memnon and here since then in the right hands.

My trip (by Nile ship from Luxor to Aswan, drive back to Luxor, three nights there, a flight to Cairo, three nights in Cairo) was excellently organized. Everything worked out perfectly!
I would particularly like to highlight the performance of Mr. Malek, who was my guide. He has a lot of knowledge and is extremely kind and helpful.
I can only recommend this trip!

Highly professional,
We have already booked 2 trips with Memnon, the last trip in December 2024. We drove from Hurghada to Luxor to see the Valley of the Kings and other sights. We booked a private trip because we wanted to be completely flexible in our decisions. We were picked up at the hotel by 2 drivers. @Toni and @Akram. They spoke German and English and drove us to Luxor very safely. We also found it very good that the drivers could take turns. In Luxor we had an excellent tour guide who gave us an interesting insight into the history of Egypt.
We had a great day and can 100% recommend Memnon.

On January 8, 2025 we were very fortunate to be able to do a day trip through Memnon Reisen. This day was an unforgettable experience for us. Starting with our driver Ibrahim, who arrived at our hotel very punctually and transported us to our complete satisfaction throughout the entire trip, to our professional and extremely nice guide Naschaat. We were extremely lucky to find him because, as Egyptologists, he was able to tell us a lot about history and life in ancient Egypt. We were allowed to decide the course of our day trip independently and Nasch provided us with all the information on the individual stages. A really recommendable agency that we will definitely book with again. Thank you again at this point!

We had the most incredible day trip to Luxor last week. From start to finish, everything was perfect. Our driver, Ibrahim, was right on time and made the journey so smooth.
The highlight of the day was our tour guide, Gerges. His deep knowledge and fascinating insights really brought the history to life. We got to see the stunning temples and tombs, having priority access made the experience so much more enjoyable.
Even though Luxor is a busy tourist spot, Gerges managed to take us to quieter spots, giving us a more peaceful and intimate experience. The facts he shared were so unique and impressive, with details that you just wouldn't find in a guidebook. I can’t recommend this tour enough—it was worth every penny and more!

we booked a privat 14 Days round trip ancient Egypt with my wife including some travel days on the Nile. We had 2 different guides (Egyptologists), one for lower and another for upper Egypt. Both were excellent and we had more than just archaeological talks.
Memnon proposed a journey based on our interests and their historical and local knowledge and adjusted it to our individual preferences
All for a fair price. Completely stress free. Everything functioned perfect. Strongly recommeded for couples, families, some friends who want no show, but the real stuff and are not familiar with Egypt.
We are individual travelers. This was our first organised sightseeing holiday / round trip and I am convinced it was the absulutely right joice for Egypt.
That does not mean, that I would not make some individual adaptions und changes or alterations, as I would after every holiday, but that would mainly be to visit more points of interest.

Today we had the quad tour with a visit to the Bedouin village followed by food and folklore. It was a very successful tour. Very private and had time for all questions and photos. Our tour guide Schauki was great!! Nice, funny guy who you could joke with and was open to any questions.

The dolphin trip was a great day. It was a lot of fun and you could discover a lot while snorkeling. Overall it was very nice and we can definitely recommend it.

During our vacation in Marsa Alam, we didn't just want to lie on the beach, we also wanted to get to know the wonderful history of the country better. That's why we came across Memnon Reisen online. The very friendly contact went smoothly via WhatsApp. The lovely staff always had an answer and travel tips ready and were always available.
We then booked the private tour to Luxor as a group (4 people) and the tour to Abydos and Dendera for two people. Both times we were picked up on time in clean vehicles by very, very nice drivers and brought safely to our destination. Osama was our guide on both days and conveyed his comprehensive knowledge to us in a lively manner in perfect German. He had an answer to every one of our questions and was always warm and friendly.
The private tours allowed us to see the temples before the crowds, which is highly recommended.
We can wholeheartedly recommend Memnon Reisen and will definitely book with them again on our next holiday to Egypt.

January 8, 2023 Private boat tour, 9 hours, 3 guided snorkeling trips
Hello from Pickalbatros Palace.
We had a really fantastic boat tour today with probably the best tour guide in all of Egypt, Achmed. He looked after us well at every second, enriched us with very interesting information and there was really nothing here that we were missing in any way.
The boat tour included 3 guided snorkeling trips of 40 to 60 minutes on beautiful reefs north of Hurghada. When we arrived at the third spot, we were able to admire the west side of the Fanadir Reef for a good hour on our own, if we wished, alone. We were looked after perfectly throughout the day by our tour guide and the boat team and never had the feeling of being rushed. The food was also very good and I can say that after a total of 6 trips in 2 years, this was the most beautiful trip with a fantastic team.
In the future, we will only book our excursions through Memnonreisen and wish everyone who does the same a lot of fun on their next trip. Thank you dear team and hopefully see you soon.

A great trip to Luxor for two. It was fantastic. Everything perfectly organized with an incredibly articulate, educated guide. Our heads are bursting with new knowledge, but we will recommend it to everyone. Excellent!

We booked a private day trip to Luxor with Memnon Travel and it was great! The organization, the pick-up from the hotel, and the return journey worked without any problems. And the guide was absolutely great! We saw and learned a lot of interesting things and had a great experience. I can only recommend it.

A perfect tour from start to finish. Everything went hand in hand, from the pickup from the hotel, the professional expertise of our Egyptologist, to the safe and sound drop off at our hotel at the end of the day. Once Memnon always Memnon, true words. Always my pleasure . Thank you

My wife and I booked a trip from Hurghada to Asuan. The organiser Osman was very cooperative in planning. Our guide Mumin was a highly educated egyptologist. He also was very friendly and helpful to us.
Price of the trip was convenient.
We had unforgettable experiences. We are planning next year another trip to Cairo.

We had a wonderful one day trip from Makadi Bay to Luxor. Everything was just perfect, starting with the easy communication over WhatsApp during booking, the driver bringing us to Luxor in a comfortable car and with Ayman, our excellent guide showing us the wonderful sights of Luxor. It was a wonderful day and I can fully reccomend Memnon Reisen! Next time we will certainly book with them again.

I had such a great experience with Osman, and his team Malek, Atef, Rafat and all the other drivers. Osman and his team facilitated my entire trip from Hurghada to Marsa Alam, Aswan, Luxor, Cairo and many more stops in between. They took care of all the organisation and that I will have an unforgettable experience. They know the area very well, to avoid crowds and provide you with all the detail there is to know about Egypt's history and today's culture. Highly recommend him and his team.

We've done 2 trips, Luxor from Hurghada with the hot hair balloon and then we did the Paradise Island trip, it was incredible.
They were 24 hour responsive, they provide information about everything, were always 100% punctual! The transfers were amazing and the drivers were so nice.
Our experience in Luxor was absolutely perfect! The hot air balloon ride was a one in a life time experience: watching the sunrise over the Valley of the Kings and the Nile, breath taking. Our guide (Atif) explained EVERYTHING in detail and answered every question, he was just the best. And we got to enjoy 1 hour in the Nile boat all by ourselves! It was so relaxing. Our driver (Michael) was always asking if we needed cool water and snacks (that were available throughout the whole tour).
If you visit Egypt you can trust Memnon Raisen for great experiences and great services!
