At Luxor Airport, your German-speaking guide will be waiting for you with a sign bearing your name or a Memnon Reisen sign. Now you’ve arrived in Luxor and can start enjoying your Luxor excursion.

Karnak Temple

Your first stop is the Karnak Temple:
No site in Egypt is as impressive as Karnak. It is the largest temple complex ever built by human hands and represents the combined achievements of many generations of ancient builders and pharaohs. The Karnak Temple consists of three main temples, smaller enclosed temples, and several outer temples, spread over an area of 247 acres.

Lunch

Then you will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

Luxor Temple

After lunch, you will visit the Luxor Temple:
The Luxor Temple is an ancient Egyptian temple complex located on the east bank of the Nile in the modern city of Luxor (ancient Thebes). It stands as a monument to the religious and political significance of Egypt’s New Kingdom (ca. 1550–1077 BC). The temple was dedicated to the renewal of kingship and is believed to have been the site where many Egyptian pharaohs were crowned.

This impressive complex not only reflects the architectural brilliance of ancient Egypt but also the spiritual and social structures that shaped this civilization.

Hotel in Luxor

At the end of the day, you will be transferred to your 5★ hotel in Luxor.

You will be informed about the pick-up time for the hot air balloon by your guide when checking in at the hotel.
Day 2: Hot air balloon ride, visit the Valley of the Kings, the Colossi of Memnon, the Temple of Hatshepsut, enjoy a Nile boat trip, and then take your return flight from Luxor to Sharm El Sheikh.

After your breakfast at the hotel, you will head with your guide to explore more of the sights of Luxor, starting with the Valley of the Kings.

Valley of the Kings

The Valley of the Kings, located in the heart of Luxor’s West Bank, is a monumental tribute to the pharaohs of the New Kingdom who ruled from the 16th to the 11th century BC. This sacred necropolis, containing 63 known tombs and chambers, offers a deep insight into the spiritual beliefs and artistic achievements of ancient Egypt.

Lunch

Then enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

Temple of Queen Hatshepsut

Next, you’ll visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, where your Egyptologist will tell you more about the woman who once ruled Egypt.

The Temple of Hatshepsut rises in a series of terraces from the desert plain, blending beautifully with the steep limestone cliffs of the eastern side of the Theban mountain—as if nature itself had created this extraordinary monument.

Nile Boat Trip Included

Before continuing, enjoy our included Nile boat trip in Luxor – about one hour of relaxation on the Nile.

Colossi of Memnon

Afterward, you’ll visit the Colossi of Memnon: two massive stone statues of King Amenhotep III, which are the only remains of a once-great mortuary temple.

The statues are carved from quartzite sandstone blocks that originally stood in Cairo and were transported over 700 km to Luxor.

Return Flight

At the end of the day, you’ll be taken to Luxor Airport for your return flight to Sharm El Sheikh.

Upon your arrival in Sharm El Sheikh, your private transfer bus will take you comfortably back to your hotel after this fascinating journey through Cairo and Luxor by plane.
