Description for 16 Days Egypt Private Round Trip

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo, transfer to hotel and overnight.

Your English-speaking guide will greet you at Cairo International Airport (before the exit) holding a sign with your name. You’ll be transferred in a private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel, where you’ll receive welcome drinks (Cola and water) in the car. Your guide will assist you with hotel check-in and go over your itinerary to confirm pick-up times for each day. After that, enjoy your free time and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Visit to Saqqara and Dahshur – Overnight in Cairo

After breakfast, your private guide will take you to explore the Saqqara Complex and the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the first pyramid ever built. The area includes temples, chapels, and tombs over 16 hectares, featuring carvings and hieroglyphics reflecting ancient Egyptian religious and daily life.

Then, continue to Dahshur, known for its unique pyramids – the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, essential to understanding the evolution of pyramid construction.

Lunch will be served at a good local restaurant before returning to your hotel for overnight.

Day 3: Visit to Egyptian Museum, Old Cairo, Khan El Khalili & El Moez Street

After breakfast, your private Egyptologist will accompany you to the Egyptian Museum, which contains over 150,000 artifacts across two floors. Built in 1902, it’s the world’s largest museum of ancient Egyptian art.

After lunch, explore Islamic Cairo, Khan El Khalili Bazaar, and El Moez Street, rich with historical Islamic architecture and culture.
Return to the hotel for overnight.

Day 4: Visit to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx – Flight from Cairo to Hurghada

After breakfast, visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos, along with the Sphinx and Valley Temple. These architectural marvels symbolize the grandeur of ancient Egypt.

Lunch at a good restaurant.
Transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Hurghada.
Upon arrival, our professional driver will meet you (holding a sign with your name) and take you to your hotel.

Day 8: Transfer from Hurghada to Luxor – Embark on Nile Cruise

Check out and drive (~4 hours) to Luxor in a private vehicle, with a short break along the way.
Meet your Egyptologist in Luxor, who will help you check in to your Nile Cruise and inform you of the next day’s plans.
Enjoy your leisure time aboard the ship.

Day 9: Visit to Karnak & Luxor Temples – Overnight on Nile Cruise

After breakfast, visit the Karnak Temple, a massive ancient complex offering insights into ancient Egyptian spiritual life.

Then visit the Luxor Temple, a New Kingdom site likely used for royal coronations.
Lunch and overnight aboard the ship.

Day 10: Visit to Edfu & Kom Ombo Temples – Overnight on Nile Cruise

Sail to Kom Ombo and visit the Double Temple dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris.
Then sail to Edfu to see the Horus Temple, one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples, built during the Ptolemaic period.

Enjoy lunch, tea, and dinner aboard the ship. Overnight on board.

Day 11: Visit to Philae Temple, High Dam & Unfinished Obelisk – Overnight on Cruise

After breakfast, visit the High Dam, built in the 1960s with Soviet help to control the Nile and generate power.

Continue to Philae Temple, an iconic temple dedicated to Isis, preserved and relocated due to the dam project.
Visit the Unfinished Obelisk, offering insight into ancient stoneworking.
Return to the ship for overnight.

Day 12: Visit to Abu Simbel Temples – Overnight on Cruise

Around 3:00 AM, drive (~3 hrs) with your guide to Abu Simbel, an iconic monument carved into rock in the 13th century BC by Ramses II and dedicated to himself and Queen Nefertari. The temples are marvels of both ancient and modern engineering.

Return to the ship in Aswan and enjoy lunch and leisure time.

Day 13: Leisure Day – No Tours

Relax onboard and enjoy the scenic views of the Nile.

Day 14: Visit to Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Colossi of Memnon – Overnight on Cruise

After breakfast, visit Valley of the Kings, the burial place of New Kingdom pharaohs with over 63 tombs.

Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a terraced marvel built into the cliffs.

Stop by the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III.
Return to the ship for lunch and overnight.

Day 15: Disembark – Flight from Luxor to Cairo – Citadel, Mosque & Churches Tour

Transfer to Luxor Airport and fly to Cairo.
In Cairo, your guide will take you to the Saladin Citadel, Alabaster Mosque, Coptic Quarter, and the Hanging Church.
Check-in and overnight in your Cairo hotel.

Day 16: Final Departure from Cairo

After breakfast, our driver will take you to Cairo Airport for your international departure.
